# YouTrend vs Waffle

The clearest difference is rating: Waffle at 4.6 against YouTrend's 3.8. Waffle also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (167 vs 10). YouTrend's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 30%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Waffle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waffle has 167 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of YouTrend's written reviews are positive against 30% of Waffle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

YouTrend ships an update every 2 months, Waffle every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
