# Flannels vs Boinclo

The clearest difference is ads: Flannels at none against Boinclo's shown. Flannels also leads on ratings volume (429 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Boinclo's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Boinclo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flannels has 429 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Flannels's written reviews are positive against 75% of Boinclo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flannels ships an update every 3 weeks, Boinclo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
