# Instant Location Share vs BMPD

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Location Share at 5.0 against BMPD's 4.2. Instant Location Share also leads on iOS requirement (9.3 vs 13.0). BMPD's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Instant Location Share holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BMPD has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Instant Location Share ships an update every 11 days, BMPD every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
