# amcam vs USB

The clearest difference is rating: amcam at 5.0 against USB's 2.0. amcam also leads on iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). USB's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

amcam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: USB has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

amcam ships an update every 2 months, USB every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
