# amcam vs USB Camera

The clearest difference is rating: amcam at 5.0 against USB Camera's 2.7. amcam also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). USB Camera's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

amcam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: USB Camera has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
