# Countdown with widget vs Kounts

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kounts at 100% against Countdown with widget's 27%. Kounts also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). Countdown with widget's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 8) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown with widget sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Kounts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kounts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown with widget has 2.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Countdown with widget's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kounts's.

Countdown with widget ships an update every 5 weeks, Kounts every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
