# SecuritySpy vs ScreenSpy

The clearest difference is rating: ScreenSpy at 4.3 against SecuritySpy's 3.5. SecuritySpy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (86 vs 6). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScreenSpy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. SecuritySpy asks for nothing beyond the download.

ScreenSpy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecuritySpy has 86 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SecuritySpy ships an update every 3 weeks, ScreenSpy fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
