# SecuritySpy vs SentryBlack

The clearest difference is ads: SecuritySpy at none against SentryBlack's shown. SecuritySpy also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecuritySpy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SentryBlack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SecuritySpy ships an update every 3 weeks, SentryBlack fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
