# Widgit Writer vs Niki Talk 2

The clearest difference is update cadence: Niki Talk 2 at every 2 weeks against Widgit Writer's every 2 months. Niki Talk 2 also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 3). Widgit Writer's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgit Writer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Niki Talk 2 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Widgit Writer against 4.6 for Niki Talk 2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Niki Talk 2 has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
