# Emmetec vs Addons

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Emmetec at none against Addons's 1. Addons's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Addons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Emmetec asks for nothing beyond the download.

Emmetec ships an update every 3 months, Addons every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
