# Buildup vs Site Diary

Buildup and Site Diary both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Site Diary's written reviews are positive against 50% of Buildup's. Site Diary also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Buildup holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 45 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Buildup's written reviews are positive against 88% of Site Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Buildup ships an update every 3 weeks, Site Diary weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
