# FahrAPP vs CBC Highlands

The clearest difference is monetization model: CBC Highlands at free against FahrAPP's free with in-app purchases. CBC Highlands also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). FahrAPP's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (97 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FahrAPP holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FahrAPP has 97 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FahrAPP ships an update every 4 months, CBC Highlands every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
