# Knife Collection vs Notes

The clearest difference is price: Notes at Free against Knife Collection's $1.99. Notes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.5). Knife Collection's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Notes is free to download; Knife Collection costs $1.99 up front. Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Knife Collection asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Knife Collection's written reviews are positive against 50% of Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Knife Collection ships an update every 3 days, Notes every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
