# Shot Scope vs Stripey

The clearest difference is rating: Stripey at 5.0 against Shot Scope's 4.6. Shot Scope's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Scope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stripey sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stripey holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shot Scope has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shot Scope ships an update every 8 days, Stripey every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
