# Shot Scope vs CaddieOS

The clearest difference is rating: CaddieOS at 5.0 against Shot Scope's 4.6. CaddieOS also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days). Shot Scope's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Scope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CaddieOS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CaddieOS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shot Scope has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shot Scope ships an update every 8 days, CaddieOS every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
