# Counter Tally Count vs Count Prayers

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Count Prayers at none against Counter Tally Count's 1. Count Prayers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). Counter Tally Count's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 8). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Counter Tally Count sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Count Prayers asks for nothing beyond the download.

Counter Tally Count holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Counter Tally Count has 14K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Counter Tally Count's written reviews are positive against 100% of Count Prayers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Counter Tally Count ships an update every 3 weeks, Count Prayers every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
