# Pancheros vs Macubana

The clearest difference is ads: Pancheros at none against Macubana's shown. Pancheros also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 30 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 1). Macubana's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Macubana holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pancheros has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pancheros ships an update every 5 months, Macubana every 30 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
