# Pancheros vs Plateable

Pancheros and Plateable both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Plateable's written reviews are positive against 59% of Pancheros's. Plateable also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). Pancheros's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (11K vs 13). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plateable sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Pancheros asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Pancheros against 4.9 for Plateable. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pancheros has 11K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of Pancheros's written reviews are positive against 100% of Plateable's.

Pancheros ships an update every 5 months, Plateable fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
