# WhoeverNote vs Simple Notepad

The clearest difference is rating: WhoeverNote at 5.0 against Simple Notepad's 4.6. WhoeverNote also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Simple Notepad's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 2) and review sentiment (68% vs 53%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WhoeverNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Notepad sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WhoeverNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Notepad has 2.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of WhoeverNote's written reviews are positive against 68% of Simple Notepad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WhoeverNote ships an update monthly, Simple Notepad every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
