# Coldtub vs SCCCS

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Coldtub at 48 against SCCCS's 2. Coldtub also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Coldtub against 5.0 for SCCCS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coldtub has 48 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Coldtub ships an update every 3 months, SCCCS every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
