# Phone vs Hidden Camera

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Phone at none against Hidden Camera's 6. Phone also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (28% vs 0%). Hidden Camera's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden Camera sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Phone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hidden Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phone has 10K ratings behind it against 180, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Phone's written reviews are positive against 0% of Hidden Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Phone ships an update every 8 months, Hidden Camera every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
