# Pyone Play vs ZLan

The clearest difference is rating: ZLan at 5.0 against Pyone Play's 4.6. ZLan also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Pyone Play's advantage is ratings volume (26K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ZLan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyone Play has 26K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pyone Play ships an update every 2 months, ZLan every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
