# U vs BAS

The clearest difference is rating: U at 4.8 against BAS's 4.3. U also leads on ratings volume (26 vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). BAS's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 18%) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

U holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: U has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of U's written reviews are positive against 36% of BAS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

U ships an update every 2 months, BAS every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
