# VIDEO vs Blackhole Spliter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VIDEO at 80% against Blackhole Spliter's 40%. VIDEO also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Blackhole Spliter's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 154). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blackhole Spliter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackhole Spliter has 20K ratings behind it against 154, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of VIDEO's written reviews are positive against 40% of Blackhole Spliter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VIDEO ships an update every 5 months, Blackhole Spliter every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
