# Chaptr vs Alimentor 2

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Alimentor 2 at 1.3K against Chaptr's 2. Alimentor 2 also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and chart position (#20 vs unranked). Chaptr's advantage is price ($2.99 vs $6.99) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Chaptr costs $2.99 and Alimentor 2 $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alimentor 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alimentor 2 has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Chaptr's written reviews are positive against 93% of Alimentor 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chaptr ships an update every 6 weeks, Alimentor 2 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
