# Continuity Digital Signage vs Openchat

The clearest difference is rating: Openchat at 4.7 against Continuity Digital Signage's 3.5. Openchat also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Continuity Digital Signage's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 81%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Continuity Digital Signage sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Openchat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Openchat holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Openchat has 4.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Continuity Digital Signage's written reviews are positive against 81% of Openchat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Continuity Digital Signage ships an update every 6 weeks, Openchat every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
