# SVS vs beyerdynamic

SVS and beyerdynamic both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of SVS's written reviews are positive against 50% of beyerdynamic's. SVS also leads on ratings volume (95 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SVS holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SVS has 95 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of SVS's written reviews are positive against 50% of beyerdynamic's.

SVS ships an update every 2 months, beyerdynamic every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
