# Math Learner vs ExamPrep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ExamPrep at 100% against Math Learner's 23%. ExamPrep also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Math Learner's advantage is ratings volume (121K vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Learner sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and ExamPrep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ExamPrep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Learner has 121K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Math Learner's written reviews are positive against 100% of ExamPrep's.

Math Learner ships an update every 2 weeks, ExamPrep every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
