# Rocket.Chat vs Twake Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Twake Chat at 5.0 against Rocket.Chat's 4.4. Rocket.Chat's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 33%) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Twake Chat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket.Chat has 3.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Rocket.Chat's written reviews are positive against 33% of Twake Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket.Chat ships an update every 3 weeks, Twake Chat monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
