# PIXEM Remote vs Equitech

The clearest difference is update cadence: Equitech at every 2 days against PIXEM Remote's every 13 months. Equitech also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PIXEM Remote ships an update every 13 months, Equitech every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
