# Tuniversal vs Scaler EQ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tuniversal at 100% against Scaler EQ's 50%. Tuniversal also leads on price (Free vs $12.99) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Scaler EQ's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (27 vs 4). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Tuniversal is free to download; Scaler EQ costs $12.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scaler EQ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scaler EQ has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Tuniversal's written reviews are positive against 50% of Scaler EQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tuniversal ships an update every 2 weeks, Scaler EQ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
