# Noted vs OmniFocus 3

The clearest difference is rating: Noted at 4.5 against OmniFocus 3's 3.9. Noted also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 1.1K). OmniFocus 3's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 55%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noted sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and OmniFocus 3 sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noted holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.7K and 1.1K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Noted's written reviews are positive against 68% of OmniFocus 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Noted ships an update weekly, OmniFocus 3 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
