# Valerus vs Genetec Mobile

The clearest difference is update cadence: Genetec Mobile at monthly against Valerus's every 3 months. Genetec Mobile also leads on review sentiment (14% vs 0%) and ratings volume (38 vs 5). Valerus's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Valerus holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genetec Mobile has 38 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Valerus's written reviews are positive against 14% of Genetec Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Valerus ships an update every 3 months, Genetec Mobile monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
