# FlagDict vs Flag Ceremony

The clearest difference is rating: FlagDict at 4.6 against Flag Ceremony's 3.8. FlagDict also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 39 months) and ratings volume (305 vs 4). Flag Ceremony's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FlagDict holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlagDict has 305 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of FlagDict's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flag Ceremony's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlagDict ships an update monthly, Flag Ceremony every 39 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
