# Facetune vs TripTails

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TripTails at none against Facetune's 10. TripTails also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Facetune's advantage is ratings volume (381K vs 1) and chart position (#7 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Facetune sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. TripTails asks for nothing beyond the download.

TripTails holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Facetune has 381K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Facetune ships an update weekly, TripTails every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
