# Cool Type Keyboard vs Paste

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Paste at 100% against Cool Type Keyboard's 57%. Paste also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Cool Type Keyboard's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (42 vs 9). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cool Type Keyboard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Paste asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cool Type Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Cool Type Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Paste's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cool Type Keyboard ships an update every 7 months, Paste every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
