# CarHire vs Daylight

The clearest difference is ads: Daylight at none against CarHire's shown. Daylight also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). CarHire's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CarHire holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CarHire has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

CarHire ships an update every 2 months, Daylight every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
