# Complex vs Doja Direct

The clearest difference is monetization model: Doja Direct at free against Complex's free with in-app purchases. Complex's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Complex against 5.0 for Doja Direct. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Complex has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Complex ships an update every 2 weeks, Doja Direct every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
