# Complex vs OM NEWYORK

The clearest difference is monetization model: OM NEWYORK at free against Complex's free with in-app purchases. OM NEWYORK also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Complex's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 108). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Complex against 5.0 for OM NEWYORK. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Complex has 1K ratings behind it against 108, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Complex's written reviews are positive against 99% of OM NEWYORK's.

Complex ships an update every 2 weeks, OM NEWYORK weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
