# Complex vs Classic Pins

The clearest difference is monetization model: Classic Pins at free against Complex's free with in-app purchases. Classic Pins also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Complex's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Complex against 4.8 for Classic Pins. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Complex has 1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Complex's written reviews are positive against 100% of Classic Pins's.
