# Complex vs Cuts N Kicks

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cuts N Kicks at free against Complex's free with in-app purchases. Cuts N Kicks also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Complex's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Complex against 5.0 for Cuts N Kicks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Complex has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Complex's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cuts N Kicks's.

Complex ships an update every 2 weeks, Cuts N Kicks every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
