# MandalaKit vs Mandala Printer

The clearest difference is ads: Mandala Printer at none against MandalaKit's shown. Mandala Printer also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). MandalaKit's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MandalaKit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mandala Printer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mandala Printer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MandalaKit has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MandalaKit ships an update every 3 months, Mandala Printer every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
