# Solitaire ◆ vs Solitaire 2020++

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Solitaire 2020++ at none against Solitaire ◆'s 1. Solitaire 2020++ also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Solitaire ◆'s advantage is ratings volume (5K vs 63). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solitaire ◆ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Solitaire 2020++ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Solitaire 2020++ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solitaire ◆ has 5K ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Solitaire ◆'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Solitaire 2020++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solitaire ◆ ships an update every 4 months, Solitaire 2020++ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
