# HuntFishNY vs BUFF311

The clearest difference is rating: BUFF311 at 3.0 against HuntFishNY's 2.1. BUFF311 also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 14.0). HuntFishNY's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (342 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BUFF311 holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HuntFishNY has 342 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of HuntFishNY's written reviews are positive against 0% of BUFF311's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HuntFishNY ships an update every 6 weeks, BUFF311 every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
