# Compass North Church vs ProgressBook Parent/Student

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Compass North Church at 100% against ProgressBook Parent/Student's 46%. Compass North Church also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.1). ProgressBook Parent/Student's advantage is ratings volume (5.6K vs 8) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ProgressBook Parent/Student holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProgressBook Parent/Student has 5.6K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Compass North Church's written reviews are positive against 46% of ProgressBook Parent/Student's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
