# Animation Desk® Ultimate vs NotableLive

The clearest difference is price: NotableLive at Free against Animation Desk® Ultimate's $9.99. NotableLive also leads on rating (4.2 vs 4.0). Animation Desk® Ultimate's advantage is ratings volume (300 vs 13) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

NotableLive is free to download; Animation Desk® Ultimate costs $9.99 up front. Animation Desk® Ultimate sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and NotableLive sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NotableLive holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animation Desk® Ultimate has 300 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Animation Desk® Ultimate's written reviews are positive against 33% of NotableLive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Animation Desk® Ultimate ships an update monthly, NotableLive every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
