# GoSpectro vs Lightscope

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GoSpectro at none against Lightscope's 1. GoSpectro also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). Lightscope's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightscope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. GoSpectro asks for nothing beyond the download.

GoSpectro ships an update every 2 months, Lightscope every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
