# HireUp vs Nowsta

The clearest difference is rating: Nowsta at 4.2 against HireUp's 1.0. Nowsta also leads on ratings volume (832 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). HireUp's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 37%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nowsta holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nowsta has 832 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of HireUp's written reviews are positive against 37% of Nowsta's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HireUp ships an update every 2 months, Nowsta every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
