# inKind vs Semy

The clearest difference is rating: inKind at 4.9 against Semy's 4.0. inKind also leads on ratings volume (100K vs 40) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Semy's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

inKind holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: inKind has 100K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of inKind's written reviews are positive against 78% of Semy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

inKind ships an update every 5 days, Semy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
