# Timer Holic vs Big Fat Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Timer Holic at 4.9 against Big Fat Timer's 4.2. Big Fat Timer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.2 vs 12.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer Holic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Big Fat Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timer Holic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Timer Holic's written reviews are positive against 100% of Big Fat Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
